Jackson was born August 2008 with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), a rare congenital heart defect affecting the left ventrical and aorta. Three days after he was born he had the first of three open heart surgeries at Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City, UT. In January 2009 he had his 2nd surgery, the Glenn, and in May 2012 he had his third open heart surgery, the Fontan. He is currently doing great and you would hardly know he's anything but perfectly healthy. He's sweet, cute, and as wonderful as they come and such a joy in our lives.
What an amazing boy. He has come through so much in such a short time. I can't blame him for not feeling real well. Poor kid. I can only imagine how it feels to have your heart worked on. Keep the rootbeer flavored drugs coming and hopefully he'll have a good nights sleep.
Congrats on the move! The third floor is way more quiet than the PICU. And it's so nice to be able to shut the door for some extra peace! He looks great! I am so happy for you guys! Good luck with the feeding. I'm sure once he feels better, he'll start chugging away! Love little baby toes!
So Cute!! He looks soooo good! I am so happy that you are settled in on the third floor. I am hoping to make it up to visit either tomorrow or Friday. I will call before hand to make sure you are there. Much love,Hilary
Aimee, Jack looks so GOOD! Really if you could see Kylie next to him, her belly is so messed up also her line in her wrist is all red and swollen she has big scabs where the chest tubes were. I will post a picture so you can see. He is doing AMAZING!!!! I hope you get home soon. Thanks for talking with me today I really needed to talk with someone who "knows" what we are going through. I will keep you in my prayers. Chrissie
Wow he's moving right along. I'm hoping to get up to see you before you head home. At the rate your going hopefully I will ,if not at least you'll be home. Were thinking of you. Rebecca
