Jackson was born August 2008 with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), a rare congenital heart defect affecting the left ventrical and aorta. Three days after he was born he had the first of three open heart surgeries at Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City, UT. In January 2009 he had his 2nd surgery, the Glenn, and in May 2012 he had his third open heart surgery, the Fontan. He is currently doing great and you would hardly know he's anything but perfectly healthy. He's sweet, cute, and as wonderful as they come and such a joy in our lives.
He truly is precious. Congrats on such an adorable little boy. Little Jack is in our prayers as our your guys, just know you are never alone through these trying times and that if you EVER need to talk about anything my ear is always here. One day at a time. Friday will be a long day but it will be one of many long days. Learn from Yesterday, live for today and hope for tomorrow. Matthew 6:34 "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
I will be watching for updates tomorrow. Get as much rest as you can....it will be a long day! God Bless You...
I linked randomly to your blog through some mutual friends. Hope you don't mind that I've been following your story. I just want you to know that your moms and dads love you and your baby so much. My first granddaughter had problems at birth and was LifeFlighted from Logan to Ogden, where she spent her first few weeks hovering between life and death. She made it, and is an awesome 2 year old now, but it was doubly hard for us as the grandparents to love and worry so much about her, while at the same time our hearts were breaking as we watched our own son hurting so badly for his little girl. Your little guy is loved more deeply by more people than you can imagine. I wish you all the best of luck, and remember to give your mom and dad a hug. They need it as badly as you do!
Hey guys!! I left a message for Aimee today to see if we can come see Jackson. Call me if today is a good day. We totally understand if it's not. We could come next week if that would be better.
Oh my cute!! Thanks for the clip! It is fun to hear you guys oohing and awwing over him too! Your amazing parents already! Can't wait to hear how things go tomorrow! Our fingers are permanently crossed and of course we are praying for you too!!!
Oh, you guys, he is so precious. I have watched the video clip at least 5 times; thank you for sharing. It's like someone mentioned above, there are more people that love him than you will ever know and we all want to pick him up and hold him! We will be thinking of you and anxiously awaiting news tomorrow!
