Feeling better and getting out

A round of antibiotics later and Jack is feeling much better. He's now back to his usual busy, helpful self.

He helped dad make pancakes for breakfast by emptying the contents of all the drawers he could reach.
Then we went to the Utah State Fair. Jack loved the goats and cows, not so much the Bear Show.

And on Saturday Jack and I went to the Intermountain Healing Hearts Walk. There were probably 500 people in attendance. It was wonderful. We got to see Heart buddies (below are Teagan, Gracie and Daxton and their moms) and get to know some new families.

At the Walk they had a beautiful Angel ceremony and butterfly release recognizing those children who have lost their battles with CHDs. I was so sad this morning to read that another one of our Heart friends joined that group last night. Sweet Cali was just over a week old and after a valiant fight and numerous proceedures, she returned to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Orrock family.

Oh I wish we lived in Utah sometimes... the walk would have been fun! I'm sure Owen would have fit right in amongst his buddies. Jack is such a big boy standing in the kitchen.. is he walking yet? I love the PJ's!

I was so sad to hear that Cali passed away this morning. We're continuing to pray for them.

I am so glad that Jack was feeling better so you could attend the walk. It was great to see you there and I really appreciate all you have done to support the organization.

Looking good, I'm so glad we live close enough to see eachother in real life! There is a place right on 78oos. and across from that Arctic Circle and those apartments on the west side of Bangerter...is that good enough detail, sorry, but anyway they take walk in's and it's only $15 bucks, my whole family got theirs there last year and no one got the flu!
See ya soon...

It was so fun to meet you at the walk! I am Ellie's mom. We sat behind you at the angel's ceremony. I was wondering if you are in Bountiful? We might be up there soon. I am so glad you got some good pics from the IHH walk.
