Home!

We made it!

Linda, the NP, finally signed our discharge papers and sent us home this morning. Jack still won't eat so he has a feeding tube, but we're hopeful that he will eat better now that he's home, and if not, we're pros at the tube. It makes it much easier to get down that nasty lortab. He's still on a little oxygen, but just until his post-op appointment in a week and a half. Wahoo!

It is so good to be home!

I'm so happy for you!! Hopefully he'll start to eat a little more soon. Honestly.. I don't think I'd feel much like eating after having my chest opened up.

He'll come around. Good luck with the tube.. it's our best friend!

Yeah!!! I'm so glad you are home. Now you can all be together and get some rest, catch up on your shows and remind Jack how to eat. You are a great mom and you are doing a good job. Keep up the good work!

Love you.

YEA! I am so glad you are HOME! Like you said you can just sit and watch him without the monitors. Silly PCMC people. That is what they did to us also, but for 2 days! Oh well, I hope he gets eating better. I think they would be fine with just eating what they want, but everyone is so parinoid if they don't gain 50oz a day :) Oh I am so glad you are HOME, give him a couple of days and he should do better, Kylie still is okay I actually got a smile! Oh and the lortab, Kylie got all weird and loopy on it, (Made her act so funny) so I called Linda and she said to try motrin, what a world of a differece. I would give him a couple of days then try that because they can have something every 3 hours instead of waiting the 6. I will call you in a couple of days to see how things are going. Feel free to call me. You need a couple of days just to take it all in and VEGG. YEA for JACK! Oh and I hope he gets rid of the 02! I think we will have both for a while :(
