Whew!!!!

The NP just stopped by and said that Jack's repairs are done and he's off the heart and lung machine. They are just making sure all the wires, tubes and other things are in place and that everything is ok. Unless something unexpected happens, the next person to come out and update us in an hour will be Dr. Kaza to report on the surgery.

I am so glad things are going well. Hang in there and hopefully you'll be seeing your beautiful son again soon.

Wonderful!

I know they try and prepare you for seeing your child post major surgery. I too was worried about that. I'll be honest though even with all the tubes, and the open wounds...My Child was alive! And at that moment, I wasn't shocked or taken aback, rather overwhelmed in the wake of a miracle! Enjoy seeing your little guy again! Were thinking of you!

I have been reading your blog for a few days now. First congrats on the beautiful little boy.
It seems like ages since we also started this journey of heart defects and heart surgery.
My son is now almost 2 and post norwood and glenn surgeries.
It really is overwhelming at first.. But worth every moment of heartache, fear, worry ( not that it stops.)
It does start to get better, but takes a while.
Good luck to you and your family, I will keep Jack in my prayers.
best of luck.
